Dr. Romuald Mbwasi

Bio.
Dr. Romuald O.J. Mbwasi is the Executive Director Apotheker Health Access Initiatives. In his capacity, he is responsible for overall oversight of the Organization and coordination of the Board. Dr. Mbwasi is a Pharmacist registered by Pharmacy Council, Tanzania. He served the Ministry of Health Tanzania as the Chief Pharmacist, He also served as Country Director and Senior Technical Advisor for Management Sciences for Health in Tanzania where he led the successful ADDO program design, pilot and scale up. Dr Mbwasi has carried out several consultancies in the Pharmaceutical sector in Tanzania and other African Countries commissioned by MSH, USAID, UNICEF, World Bank, DANIDA, PATH International and many other organizations. He also served as the Board Chair for the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania and a Board Member of the National Bureau of Standards (TBS).
He is currently a member of the National Antimicrobial Resistance Technical Standing Committee and a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Services and Supply Chain Management at St John’s University.
Dr. Mbwasi holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Technical University Carolo - Wilhelmina Brausnchweig West Germany.
